LACCW 2019

The Organizing Partners of the 2019 Latin America and the Caribbean Climate Week (LACCW) invite organizations with experience and expertise in the Transformative Areas of the Climate Action Summit convened by the UN Secretary General to contribute to the organization of the Thematic Blocks at the LACCW that will be held on Wednesday, 21 August 2019.

Each Thematic Block session will run for 2.5 hours and is to be organized in accordance with the objectives of the 2019 LACCW. It will contain technical discussions on the major challenges in the region, in alignment with the Climate Action Summit. Four Transformative Areas have been selected for the LACCW and six corresponding Thematic Block sessions will be organized. Click on the boxes below to read the guideline on each Thematic Block.

The outcomes of the Thematic Blocks will be compiled into a report that serves as regionally-based inputs to the Climate Action Summit. The report will also be analysed to identify and evaluate specific policy options and opportunities for enhancing mitigation and adaptation actions as part of the Technical Examination Processes (TEPs).

Interested organizations can apply for one of two available roles.  Click on the buttons below to view the responsibilities associated to each role and to submit your proposal.
